The Three winners of the $1,500 scholarships to promote the education of our future agricultural leaders were announced at the SCFAA summer convention in August:

The Hilton Rogers Memorial FFA scholarship was awarded to Leila Bowen, Iva, SC at the SC FFA convention in June. Leila graduated from Belton-Honea Path High School and plans to obtain a degree in Agricultural Education from Clemson University.

The Larry Smith Memorial Scholarship recipient is Charles Wright, Greer, SC. Charles is a senior at Clemson University studying Plant and Environmental Sciences and Agronomy. He plans to pursue a career as an agronomist or in sales.

The Ernie Hinson Memorial Scholarship recipient is Tabitha Swygert, Leesville, SC. Tabitha is a student at Piedmont Technical College pursuing an Associate’s degree in Diversified Agriculture. She plans to then transfer to Clemson University and earn a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture and hopes to someday manage a farming operation.
